The guide and bus will arrive at our hotel and from there we will make our way to Abu Dhabi. In a drive of about two hours we will pass Dubai in a leisurely drive on the pampering roads of the Emirates and reach Abu Dhabi.
Waypoint 2: Last Exit Dubai
We will stop for coffee at a well-designed road station that looks like a set from a movie of the angry Max.
Waypoint 3: Stop photographing in Ferrari World
Right at the entrance we will stop for a photo in an adventure park that is entirely dedicated to the prestigious Ferrari car brand. Since opening to the public in November 2010, the park has won dozens of international awards, including commendation marks on TripAdvisor, the leading theme park in the Middle East and more.
Waypoint 4: The Date Market
There are so many varieties of dates and here we will meet them all. We can buy dates by weight or in units and taste before buying. Beyond seeing the richness and beauty of the wonderful fruit, we have the opportunity for a cultural encounter, haggling over prices and savoring a variety of delicacies. Beyond dates, here are pampering drinks and chocolates. At the end we will visit the port of Abu Dhabi and from there we will continue to a restored village that will introduce us to the lifestyles of yesteryear.
Point 5: Visit the restored Emirate Village The Heritage Village
After we finish the visit to Abu Dhabi we will enter a restored Amirati village where we will see the life that took place in the place in the past. Here we will move between different pavilions, see how they once worked here, enter restored houses and hear about the fascinating history of the country. This village is a wonderful opportunity to connect the past with the present that will be seen in a moment as we make our way to the prestigious Louvre Museum.
Waypoint 6: The prestigious Louvre Museum
At the prestigious Louvre Museum in Abu Dhabi, we will have a unique opportunity to see the encounter between Western art and Eastern art. The museum will impress us even before we enter it with its beautiful dome that covers several buildings and is above the water. As we enter we can look up and see the rays of light protruding through the dome. During the visit we will see a variety of impressive works of art and enjoy the cultural richness.
Point 7: Lunch and a visit to the White Sheikh Zayed Mosque
We will stop for lunch (free choice) and after that we will make our way to the Sheikh Zayed Mosque which is the largest mosque in the Emirates. The mosque is inside the presidential palace and from the first moment an extraordinary richness is seen with shiny and tall white marble columns, light that enters and beautiful decorations on the walls. When we go out to the courtyard of the mosque we will see the impressive expanse and look at its unusual madena (turrets). From here we will make our way towards Kaser al-Watan.
Waypoint 8: Qasar al Watan
Our last landmark is one of the most impressive and special in Abu Dhabi and is a wonderful end point. We are about to enter a lush palace that offers a unique glimpse into the Arab heritage and history that led to this point in time in the Emirates and the vision for the future. Walking down the palace corridors will leave us speechless and we will just try to contain the abundance and splendor. This is a wonderful dessert for a tour of Abu Dhabi and from here we will return with a smooth bus ride to the hotel.
